Happy Picasso Receives Special Recognition
We are very honored to receive a Certificate of Honor from the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco and a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Assembly. These awards were presented at the Children's Art Painting Competition Awards Ceremony on 7/26/25. This recognition was given in appreciation of our studio's dedication to providing art classes to hundreds of Bay Area youth—encouraging them to develop artistic skills and knowledge through a variety of creative mediums. It also celebrates the APPi Festival: Celebrate Together Art Contest, where young artists shared their talents with the community.
Hope Lutheran SDC Carnival
Happy Picasso Studio recently attended the Community Business Fair and had much fun! The Hope Lutheran SDC carnival, co-hosted with our beloved Hope Lutheran church, which took place this past Saturday (7/22), was a success, and we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended. One of the event's highlights was the face-painting workshop and slime factory hosted by the Happy Picasso Leadership Program volunteers. They showcased the remarkable talent of young leaders in our community.
Hong Kong Business Association Charity Golf Tournament
On 7/21/25, our Happy Picasso Helping Hands members volunteered at the 23rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Hong Kong Business Association of Northern California at the Club at Ruby Hill. They helped with setup and event support throughout the day. It was a full day of hard work—great job!
Happy Picasso Helping Hands at Hope Lutheran Church
On 7/19/25, Happy Picasso Helping Hands members and our Level 4 students volunteered at a face painting event at Hope Lutheran Church. Thank you to all the amazing volunteers! We're proud to support our community and hope your children can join us in future annual events to give back and make a difference together.
AAPI Festivals: Celebrating Together Art Contest 2025
The 2025 Children's Art Painting Competition, themed 'Celebrating Together', invited young artists to explore and share their cultural heritage. Co-organized by APA Family Support Services and Happy Picasso Art Studio, this event fostered deeper understanding and exchange among diverse communities through the universal language of art.
Tradition Meets Modernity: Art Contest 2024
The 2024 Art Contest Awards Ceremony celebrated the theme 'Tradition Meets Modernity'. Held at the City College of San Francisco Chinatown / North Beach Center, this event highlighted how young artists interpret the intersection of traditional values and modern life. It was a vibrant showcase of creativity and cultural dialogue.
Through Children's Lens Art Contest 2023
The 'Through Children's Lens Art Contest 2023' encouraged children to observe and depict their world with fresh eyes. Organized by APA Family Support Services and Happy Picasso Art Studio, the contest received numerous inspiring entries that captured the innocence, curiosity, and unique perspectives of our youth.
Reaching for the Stars: 2023 Art Show
On Sunday, June 11, Happy Picasso Art Show 2023 opened its doors to more than 500 attendees and the local community, marking a memorable event that celebrated the creativity and talent of youth artists. The heartwarming atmosphere was palpable as families and art enthusiasts wandered through the exhibition hall, admiring the stunning artwork created by talented young artists. The event featured a fun scavenger hunt, Make A Star Craft workshop, and a special project where 12 students decorated lion heads representing their unique personalities.
Never Stop Growing: Art Show 2021
The 'Never Stop Growing' Art Show, held on May 2, 2021, was a beautiful celebration of resilience and creativity. Featuring the theme 'Growth and Blooming' (成長 . 綻放), the exhibition showcased how our young artists continued to develop their skills and artistic voice. The event brought the community together to appreciate the joy and hope that art brings to our lives.
CREAA Expo 2023
Happy Picasso Studio recently attended the CREAA Bay Area Real Estate Expo on Saturday (6/24). It was a fantastic event! This expo offered valuable resources for individuals and families interested in exploring homeownership options and also provided family-friendly activities. During the event, we proudly showcased a wide range of artwork created by our talented students. Our display attracted people of all ages, who expressed admiration and appreciation for the creativity on display. We were thrilled to engage with visitors and share insights about our studio.
Helping Hands Project: Show Your Cares to the Seniors
HKANC co-hosted a heartening and meaningful Chinese New Year giveaway project with Happy Picasso and the HSBC APIC Team in late January. These three organizations worked together and donated more than 120 Chinese New Year cards and 75 packages of Fortune Cookies to the seniors living in the Self-Help for the Elderly. We are truly thankful to have received much support from our friends and members. Thank you for taking the time to create these beautiful holiday cards, also helped us to spread the news of this project.
